Location: Gainesville First Baptist, 751 Green Street, Gainesville, GA 30501

 

Description: This course provides the tools and resources needed to meet the basic training needs of District Committee Members.

 

Who should attend: All 2026-2027 District Committee Members, Commissioners and At Large Members, and all interested registered adults.

 

Cost: FREE! With the option to pre-purchase a Chick-fil-a Box Lunch for $15 By Tuesday, Aug 4th.

  • Lunch includes Sandwich, Bag of Waffle Chips, Chocolate Chunk Cookie, & a Drink

  3.  Key 3 / How to run an effective District Committee
  4. 2026 National/Council BSA News / Program Updates
  5. Working with your District Executive
  6. Inclusion Toolbox for Special Needs and Disabilities
  7. Onboarding New District Committee Members
  8. Selecting Key Volunteers to Chair Events
  9. How to reserve and optimally utilize camp properties
  10. How to write a Silver Beaver or District Award Nomination
  11. Advanced Advancement

 

Schedule:

Check -in - 8:00am

Class #1- 8:30 am-9:20am

Class #2- 9:30am-10:20am

District Breakout and Closing 10:30am - 11:00am
