Outdoor Ethics

Outdoor ethics is deeply ingrained in the BSA program. The Cub Scout, Boy Scout, Varsity Scout, Venturing, and Sea Scout programs all include outdoor stewardship, care for the environment, and Leave No Trace as part of their programs.

If you are prepared to venture down the path of becoming aware of your surroundings, of building the skills that will allow you to leave no trace on the land, then the Outdoor Ethics Awareness and Action Awards are for you. The Outdoor Ethics Action Awards can be earned by both youth and adult.

A requirement for the Boy Scout, Varsity Scout, Venturer, and Adult Outdoor Ethics Awards is to Complete the BSA Outdoor Ethics Orientation Course.

The 2018 Outdoor Ethics Awareness Workshops are offered at no cost. To ensure that sufficient course materials are on hand, please register online for the session of your choice. Please include the number of Scouts and Adults.

This course is open to anyone interested in living and playing in the outdoors. Especially for: Cub Scouts, Boy Scouts, Varsity Scouts, Venturers, Sea Scouts, Adult Leaders, and Parents. Plan to arrive early and be prepared to learn about:
