Basic Adult Leader Outdoor Orientation
Basic Adult Leader Outdoor Orientation (BALOO) is a training event that introduces leaders to the skills needed to plan, conduct, and run a safe and fun Cub Scout campout.
This course covers the following areas:
- Preparations for camping with Cub Scouts
- Site selection
- Parent involvement
- Health and Safety
- Equipment preparation
- Meal planning
- Introduction to Outdoor Skills
BALOO training is required for at least one adult on every Pack overnighter. It is recommended that at least two adults per Pack complete BALOO training and that multiple BALOO-trained leaders attend each Pack overnighter.
This course has a mandatory online prerequisite. Please complete the prerequisite training at my.scouting.org prior to attending the course and bring proof of completion.

Pricing
The cost of registration covers all meals and materials.
Early Rate - $40
Base Rate - $ 45 (A week prior to event)
*There is a 3.5% convenience charge for online credit card payments.
Refund Policy
Refund policy for Northeast Georgia Council, BSA: Payments for Scouting events are non-refundable. Event fees can be credited towards another NEGA Council events taking place during the same calendar year as the original event.
