Cub Scout Day Camps and Cub Scout Twilight Camps

Camp is staffed entirely by parents and volunteers. We need for YOU to be a part of the FUN! When you volunteer to be a chaperone, you will be asked to attend staff training. The training you receive is designed to provide the knowledge and skills you need to fulfill your duties as chaperone. You can volunteer to help out by completing a staff registration form. The Camp Director will contact you with the details of camp. Volunteers who help during the entire camp will receive a camp t-shirt. Packs should send one adult chaperone for every five Cub Scouts who attend camp.

If a staff member attends camp staff training, helps out every day/evening that camp is held, and pays a registration fee for his/her son, he/she will receive a $25 Scout Shop gift certificate at the end of camp. Gift certificates are good for merchandise at one of the Northeast Georgia Council Scout Shops, which are located in Lawrenceville and Jefferson. There is a limit of one gift certificate per boy and two per household.

Scoutland Adventure Camp - Resident Camp for all Cub Scouts

What is Scoutland Adventure Camp?

Spend 4 days and 3 nights at Scoutland on Lake Lanier, near Gainesville, GA. Days are packed with fun and nights are spent under the stars. Your meals will be served in the air-conditioned camp dining hall and you will bunk in a two-person tent with another Scout or your parent. Hot showers and flush toilets are available in the camp shower house. There are separate facilities for men, women, and boys. We offer six sessions of camp during the month of July. The camp maintains a full-time health facility and provides a certified aquatics instructor, trained shooting sports personnel as well as a full-time qualified staff.

Cubs who will be in either the 2nd or 3rd grade in the fall of 2010, can swim, spend a day on the lake, visit Adventure Island, learn handicrafts and much more. What a great time for a boy and his parent to spend time together in the great outdoors this summer! Parents will accompany Scouts to all activities.

Webelos, who will be in either the 4th or 5th grade in the fall of 2010, will receive a special introduction to Boy Scout camping. You have the choice to attend camp with your Webelos patrol or as a Webelos/parent team. Boys will be able to work on Webelos activity badges and belt loops, cook, swim, canoe, learn handicrafts, and participate in archery and BB shooting. Webelos will also have the opportunity to cook at least one meal over a campfire (food and equipment will be supplied). There are two ways to attend camp (1) with your den or patrol and Webelos leaders, or (2) you and your parent can attend as a team. If attending as a Webelos/parent team, parents will accompany Scouts to all activities.

Who Can Come to Scoutland Adventure Camp?

Any registered Cub Scout can attend Scoutland Adventure Camp this summer. In order to provide the Scoutland Adventure Camp program to as many Scouts as possible, there are no facilities or programs at camp for siblings regardless of age. Handicapped facilities and special diet considerations are available upon request.
